Description

We are extremely excited to be offering these seeds in limited supply. You’ve been asking, and they’re finally here (for a limited time only). These are seeds of the red yage vine fresh from Peru. Classification of these vines botanically is unreliable because the plants are so rare. Only a handful of people have begun growing them in the U.S. Most classification is based on indigenous classification rather than scientific. Indigenous classification bases the name simply on the wood color (red yage). We have seen red caapi listed as both banisteriopsis muricata and b. colorada, so this could be either of those. These plants have a very similar use and history to the more traditional banisteriopsis caapi. The seeds do resemble those of banisteriopsis caapi. The plants are extremely similar in appearance too. Check out our other products for more quantity options. We also offer white and black yage seeds and several types of yage plant.

Growing Information: Bury the seeds about 1/8” deep so that the wing is sticking straight up from the soil.  Use a rich loamy soil. Soaking the seeds in a 550 ppm GA-3 solution for 24 hours is recommended. We offer Ga-3 in the “Supplies” section of our store. You may also soak the seeds in plain water.  Keep moist but not to wet. Germination typically takes several weeks, so maintain moisture and be patient. Established plants thrive in hot and humid conditions.   We are selling these fresh and for a limited time only. We cannot refund for any seeds that do not germinate.
